Home School Students Welcome

I’m Joel, a percussionist with the S.C.O, Salem Community Orchestra, and the Orchestra Board would like to extend an invitation to any homeschooling student learning on orchestral instruments (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, and Percussion) that would be interested in an opportunity to be in an ensemble performing orchestral repertoire.

We meet on Monday nights at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Winston-Salem at the First United Church of Christ at 1912 Waughtown St, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.

Parking is in the Rear; there are outside stairs on the right side that lead down to the Fellowship Hall door where the orchestra rehearses. For students that would be interested, or if you have questions, please call Gene Beazlie at least one day before at (336) 688-3531 or you may email him at beazlie@triad.rr.com.

Please arrive at 6:45 p.m. so that we can make space and set up extra music stands and chairs; leaving early – due to the 9 p.m. end time – is also allowed. We ask, if possible, that a parent remains with the child throughout the rehearsal though an adult will always stay until pick-up after rehearsal.
